“There are a multitude of communication methods you can use to change the way your message is delivered,” says Emme. Which is significant: the way the message is received will influence response and can reduce frustration on both sides of the exchange. “Words are important, of course. There are power words and phrases you can use for real impact. But hand gestures, facial expressions, inflection, and tone are also all features of communication and can be crucial.”
In her webinar, Emma will explain how belief effects behavior, and share ideas for motivating patients to own their disease. She’ll demonstrate actionable insights into how to apply transformational language in daily patient care, and help dental professionals discover their professional communication power.
“You have to know what you’re going to say,” Emme says. “Not as in having a prepared speech, but the message you wish to convey.” The aim is to increase clarity. “Our goal is not to sell dentistry. We’re not in the business of selling anything – we’re in health care.”
