New regulations around text messages

In an effort to improve visibility and communication, The Campaign Registry amended procedures to meet 10DLC guidelines.  This update aims to reduce spam and/or unwanted text messages.  To act in accordance with these changes, text messages sent should be clear in their messaging and the sending office info on file must match what the federal government uses to identify the business.

To ensure there are no complications with the delivery of your text messages moving forward, you must register and update your business information here before Wednesday, November 30, 2022.  If you fail to register by Wednesday, November 30, 2022, the Campaign Registry and mobile carriers will label your text messages sent as spam and block them from patient access.

Please review the FAQ below:

What is A2P 10DLC?

Application-to-person (A2P) messaging permits a business to use a standard 10-digit long code (10DLC) phone number to send a text message to a consumer (patient).  The 10DLC guidelines were created in the U.S. to protect customers by ensuring businesses that send SMS and MMS, register their business information for consistency, reliability, and visibility.

Why is this happening?

The updated A2P 10DLC guidelines are an effort to reduce spam and/or unwanted messages.  This enhanced communication supports you in establishing reliability as a trustworthy dental practice.
